IoT Fundamentals

IoT Connecting Things + Hackathon

Connecting Things, focuses on identifying, designing, prototyping, and presenting an IoT solution that securely solves a current business or social problem. 

With this introductory pilot course, on receipt of payment, WASTC will provide each attendee with the Raspberry Pi/Arduino Kits you will need, a value of about $200. The class size is limited to 10, first come first served. Payment and early sign up are required to send out the kits.

IoT Big Data & Analytics + Hackathon

The Big Data & Analytics course builds on Connecting Things, teaching you how to collect, store, and visualize data obtained from IoT sensors. You’ll develop the ability to extract data and use data analytics to gain insights, an extremely valuable skill to employers. 

With this introductory pilot course, on receipt of payment, WASTC will provide each attendee the Raspberry Pi/Arduino  and the Rasperry Pi Camera Board you will need, a value of about $225. The class size is limited to 10, first come first served.  If you received the Rasberry Pi/Arduino kits in the Connecting Things class you will not be sent a second kit, but we will send you the camera!

IT Essentials

IT Essentials v6:

PC Hardware and Software v6.0 covers the fundamentals of computer hardware and software as well as advanced concepts.   ITE 6.0 curriculum prepares students for the CompTIA A+ certification exams 220-901 and 220-902.

CCNA Introduction to Networks:

By the end of the course, students will be able to build simple LANs, perform basic configurations for routers and switches and implement IP addressing schemes.

CCNA Scaling Networks:

By the end of this course, students will be able to configure and troubleshoot routers and switches and resolve common issues with OSPF, EIGRP, STP, and VTP in both IPv4 and IPv6 networks.

CCNA Instructor Fast Track:

Instructor Fast Track (IFT) is an alternate training option meant for select instructors who demonstrate requisite subject knowledge and technical skills. A successful candidate proves proficiency in course content through the successful completion of a skills based assessment.  There is no instruction with this course. 

A current CCNA R&S certification is required. 

Cost is $500.

CCNP Routing:

This course teaches students how to implement, monitor and maintain routing services in an enterprise network.

Cost is $900.

This course teaches students how to implement, monitor and maintain switching in converged enterprise campus networks. Cost is $900

CCNP TShoot:

This course teaches students to (1) plan and perform regular maintenance on complex enterprise routed and switched networks and (2) use technology-based practices and a systematic ITIL compliant approach to perform network troubleshooting.
